MEET MINDY HASKINS
Mindy Haskins works as an Account Associate at The McRae Agency in Scottsdale, Ariz. She specializes in writing, pitching and distributing press releases, social media marketing, online media management, content creation, community relations and outreach, and marketing communications in the lifestyle and government industries, among others.
Mindy has written and overseen content for numerous media outlets in the Valley. Her work has been published on AZCentral.com, The Arizona Republic, PHOENIX magazine, Modern Luxury magazine, The Maricopa Lawyer, Paradise Valley Lifestyle magazine, Chandler Lifestyle magazine, Bite magazine and ASU Now. She has assisted in the development of public-safety campaigns, such as Pull Aside, Stay Alive and Haboob Haiku, for the Arizona Department of Transportation. One of her career highlights was hearing her Haboob Haiku read nationally on-air on NPR.
Mindy has been an active board member of the Asian American Journalists Association – AZ Chapter and The State Press Alumni Club. She has won journalism awards for news reporting, online reporting and magazine writing from SPJ, AEJMC and Best of the West. Mindy co-founded the now-defunct AZ Media Buzz, which served as a networking group for young media and PR professionals in the Phoenix area.
Mindy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Communications and a Master of Mass Communication degree from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
