Vanessa Bronte is an account associate for The McRae Agency.  Her responsibilities include developing and coordinating story pitches, media relations, tracking publicity opportunities, writing news releases and advisories, client research and maintaining client relationships. 

Vanessa’s previous public relations experience includes working as an intern at Porter Novelli, a global public relations firm, where she assisted with local and national accounts such as South Bay Expressway and QUALCOMM.  She also interned at UCSD External Relations in PR and fundraising.  She has helped coordinate such programs and events as the UCSD Alumni Awards for Excellence and the Life 101 Conference, as well as assisted in garnering $50,000 in alumni sponsorship.  She currently sits on the philanthropy committee for UCSD’s Young Alumni Council, encouraging fellow young alumni to give back to the university.

Vanessa graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with a bachelor of arts in communication and a minor in economics.  While at the university, she acted as a team leader for the Emerging Leaders Program, helping to develop and encourage young campus leaders through weekly presentations, workshops and one-on-one mentoring. Vanessa also served as the vice president of professional development for the Chancellor’s Organization of Allied Students, a group of student ambassadors to the university.  Upon graduation, the UCSD Alumni Association recognized Vanessa as an outstanding senior for demonstrating a superior combination of academic distinction, campus leadership and significant contributions in service to the greater San Diego community.
